Tema comes at real estate with the same vigor she practiced law. She grew up in Philadelphia and earned her B.S. at Georgetown University in languages and linguistics. While in college, Tema interned with the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of International Affairs. Tema earned her law degree from the Washington University School of Law, focusing on international law and human rights. After law school, Tema returned to Philadelphia and worked as a litigator at a law firm there. Tema, and her family of four boys moved to Seattle in 2015 where she joined the Mercer Island Law Group and continued her litigation career. Tema is the president of a charitable trust which funds medical science, research, and education. She also serves on multiple boards, including the Mercer Island Schools Foundation, The Mercer Island Chamber of Commerce, and the Film School of Seattle.
